Our Website address is:

Which personal data we collect and why collect it

When visitors write comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and user agent string to help spam prevention. An anonymized string created from your email address (also referred to as string) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy can be found here: After your comment has been cleared, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

If you are a registered user and upload pictures on this website, you should avoid uploading pictures with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors of this website could download pictures saved on this website and extract their location.

If you write a comment on our website, this can be a consent to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is a convenience function so that you don’t have to type in these data again when you write another comment. These cookies are saved for one year. If you have an account and log in to this website, we will give you a temporary cookie to find out whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personalised data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we will set up some cookies to save your logon credentials and display options. Logon cookies expire after two days and cookies for display options after one year. If you choose “stay signed in” when logging in, your logon will be preserved for two weeks.  When signing out of your account the logon cookies are deleted.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personalised data and only refers to the entry ID of the article you just edited. The cookie expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website can contain embedded contents (e.g. videos, pictures, etc.). Embedded contents from other websites behave exactly as if the visitor was visiting the other website. These websites can collect data about you, set cookies, embed additional tracking services from third parties and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content, if you have an account and are  logged into this website.

How long we save your data

When you write a comment, it will be saved, including the meta data, without temporal limit. In this way we can automatically detect follow-up comments and clear them instead of holding them for moderation.

Which rights you have to your data

After you have written a comment you can request an export of your personalised data from us, including all data you communicated to us. Furthermore, you can request that all personalised data we saved from you be deleted. This does not include the data we have to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Where we send your data

Comments by visitors can be analyzed by an automatic spam detection service.
